Final conference

European Commissioner for Equality, Ms. Helena Dalli and Janez Cigler Kralj, Minister of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities, Slovenia gave keynote speeches at the final Migape conference. (Video below)

On 2 March 2021 the MIGAPE final conference was hosted (online) by CEPS.

The conference showcased results from the MIGAPE project and was meant to stimulate discussion. Addressing the gender pension gap straddles several themes within the European Pillar of Social Rights initiative, including gender equality, old age income and pensions, childcare and long-term care. Against this overarching background, the conference was also releavnt in the context of the European Commission’s Gender Equality strategy 2020-2025 published in March 2020, and the forthcoming reports in 2021 on the economic impact of ageing (the Ageing Report) and pension adequacy (the Pension Adequacy Report). The conference also featured a roundtable with social partners (see list of speakers below).
